If you want to spend an evening out, Reims is the best choice as it offers the most entertainment. The place d’Erlon is an easy accessible promenade (on top of the large but expensive underground parking garage). On both sides you will find all kind of restaurants, side-walk café’s and bars. For your convenience I coloured the area pink in the picture on the left. When I am in Reims you will find me in this area. The nightclubs an disco’s are situated on the western side of Reims Around the cathedral there are a number of pleasant establishments to pass away the early evening.

A typical way to spend a pleasant evening in Reims is to sample a few bottles of Champagne on one of the sidewalk café’s. Then go for a meal at about 20.oo or 20.30. (Brasserie Flo is a winner). Having a meal in France takes some time so if you are lucky you will waddle your way out of the premises at about 11.00 o’clock and what makes things perfect, most of the side-walk café’s are open till one o’clock, some even go on till four in the morning. Then if you feel like it you can sweat out the champagne in one of the local discos till seven in the morning. Then fortunately the first businesses already open their doors again.

So you see that even in the countryside there are things to enjoy, all you need to know is where to find them:
